17th of May - the Norwegian Constitution Day

We celebrated our national Constitution Day the 17th of May. It is a very solemn day for us. We go in parades and wear our finest clothes, we wave with our flag and sing national hymns. It is most of all the children`s day - the day when they can eat as much ice - cream and hot dogs as they can manage...
In the photos you will see the parade at Elvevoll - maybe one of the smallest in Norway........and a photo of the children singing on the stage (one of the girls is wearing the Sami costume)- and yet another one outside the school of different national costumes. HURRAH!!
